Like I said in the OP, I think It's from toontown. Maybe the kids who played that grew up (physically, not mentally) and brought it over here...

Character, or char.

I report anyone who says "toon" when talking to me. It's a stupid term and it offends me; I see it also as an insult to GW's graphics designers as it implies their graphics are cartoony. Five people have been reported so far; five have gone offline for a week after the report.

Sounds reasonable enough, I will also start reporting people who says the t-word.
